Day TWO : Round TWO part one

The top sixteen seeds enter the fray over the next two days, which see sixteen Round Two matches on the Glass Court.

Egyptian seeds advance as Eain Yow makes another mark

Today it was the top half of the draw, where the top four seeds are all Egyptian, and Mohamed ElShorbagy, Tarek Momen, Karim Abdel Gawad and Mohamed Abouelghar all advanced, Gawad and Abouelghar won in straight games, Momen in four and top seed ElShorbagy in a tough four games against Max Lee.

The only upset of the day saw young Malaysian Eain Yow Ng continue his impressive run with a straight-games win over Campbell Grayson. The day’s other winners were England’s George Parker, Germany’s Raphael Kandra and Diego Elias of Peru.
