Six home winners as the Platinum gets under way
The PSA World Tour made its 2021 debut today as the CIB Women’s Platinum event got under way with sixteen first round matches on two courts at the Black Ball Sporting Club in Cairo – the winners joining the top sixteen seeds in Round Two.
The day saw six Egyptian winners including a stunning upset for Sana Ibrahim and a great comeback from Lisa Aitken, while USA’s Sabrina Sobhy setting up an enticing matchup with top seed Nour El Sherbini tomorrow.
