2020 Men’s GOLD, Round  TWO

Quarter-Final spots were on offer today at the Black Ball Club with eight Round Two matches and all sixteen seeds still in contention at the start of play.

There were five Egyptian winners today, two of them causing big upsets as Fares Dessouky dethroned defending champion Karim Abdel Gawad, and Mostafal Asal got the better of Paul Coll once again, both in five-game thrillers.

Miguel Rodriguez came from two games down  to deny Mazen Hesham, and Joel Makin came through a five game all-British battle with James Willstrop, and they’re all joined by Ali Farag, Diego Elias, Mohamed Abouelghar and Tarek Momen in the last eight.
